Cebu bettor wins nearly P29M Lotto 6/42 jackpot

A bettor from Moalboal in Cebu hit the jackpot when he picked the winning numbers in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Lotto 6/42 to win nearly P29 million Thursday, February 24, 2022.

The winning combination of 12-29-15-03-06-20 gave a Php 28,851,800.80 payoff.

Because of taxes, as provided by the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings are subject to 20 percent tax. This means, P5,770,360.16 would be deducted from the winnings.

The PCSO said the lucky ticket was purchased at an outlet in Moalboal.

The last time a bettor won in the Lotto 6/42 was in the February 5 draw, this means 7 draws without a winner.

Also collecting dividends were 121 bettors who won P24,000 each for getting at least 5 digits correctly in the winning combination.

Meanwhile, 3,456 players guessed four of the six winning combination and they will get Php 800 each. 39,975 players won Php 20 each for guessing three numbers.

The Lotto 6/42 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

PCSO General Manager Royina Garma urged the public to keep on patronizing PCSO games to generate more funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities.
