Cebu bettor wins P16.3M Lotto 6/42 jackpot

MANILA, Philippines – Lone bettor from the province of Cebu hit the jackpot in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Lotto 6/42 winning Php 16.3 million on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

The winning combination of 06-18-26-29-17-11 gave a Php 16,319,245.20 payoff.

The ticket was purchased in Mandaue City, Cebu.

Because of taxes, as provided by the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings are subject to 20 percent tax. This means, Php 3,263,849.04 would be deducted from the winnings.

Also collecting dividends were 81 bettors who won P24,000 each for getting at least 5 digits correctly in the winning combination.

Meanwhile, 3,171 players guessed four of the six winning combination and they will get Php 800 each. 38,977 players won Php 20 each (balik-taya) for guessing three numbers.

Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.

The Lotto 6/42 was last won on February 28, 2022 by a lucky bettor who bought the winning ticket from lotto outlet in Sampaloc, Manila.

The Lotto 6/42 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to support the agency’s gaming products in order to raise additional revenue for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.
