Cavite bettor wins Php 19M Lotto 6/42 jackpot
MANILA, Philippines – Lone bettor from the province of Cavite hit the jackpot in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Lotto 6/42 winning Php 19 million on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
PCSO said the bettor guessed the winning combination of 05-26-02-21-08-27. The total jackpot prize was Php 19,033,913.00.
The ticket was bought from a lotto outlet in Waltermart Center in General Trias City.
Because of taxes, as provided by the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings are subject to 20 percent tax. This means, Php 3806782.60 would be deducted from the winnings.
Also collecting dividends were 56 bettors who won P24,000 each for getting at least 5 digits correctly in the winning combination.
Meanwhile, 2,129 players guessed four of the six winning combination and they will get Php 800 each. 28,258 players won Php 20 each (balik-taya) for guessing three numbers.
Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.
The Lotto 6/42 was last won on September 5, 2024 by solo bettor who bought his/her winning ticket in Real Street, Barangay San Roque, Tanawan, Leyte.
The Lotto 6/42 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to support the agency’s gaming products. This is to raise additional revenue for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.
