Lucky bettors win millions in two separate Lotto 6/42 draws
MANILA, Philippines – Two fortunate individuals recently claimed their Lotto 6/42 jackpot prizes at the PCSO Main Office, Mandaluyong City, following separate draws on August 15 and August 22, 2024.
The first winner, a retired civil servant who has been playing lotto for over a decade, took home a jackpot prize of 19,630,380.00. His winning combination, 21-11-30-16-19-03, was thoughtfully selected using the birthdates of his family members. The lucky ticket was purchased at a lotto outlet in San Pablo, Laguna. The retiree shared that he plans to use his winnings to secure his children’s education; invest in insurance; and acquire land properties.
The second winner, a 38-year-old private sector employee, won the August 22 jackpot with a prize of 9,045,796.60. Like the first winner, she used the birthdates of her relatives to form the winning combination 06-24-25-28-02-16. The ticket was bought from a lotto outlet in Calamba, Laguna. While she has no specific plans for her winnings, she expressed her gratitude to PCSO for the opportunities provided by the lotto games.
Both winners expressed their sincere thanks to the PCSO for the chance to change their lives through the lotto games. They encourage others to keep playing, as winning is truly possible.
To claim prizes, winners must at the back of their winning tickets, present two valid government-issued IDs for verification, and adhering to the mandatory 20% tax deduction on prizes exceeding 10,000.00 under the TRAIN Law.
Per Republic Act No. 1169, winners are given one year from the date of the draw to claim their prizes. If unclaimed within this period, the prizes will be forfeited and will form part of the PCSO Charity Fund.
The Lotto 6/42 draws are held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 9 PM, with live broadcasts on PTV-4 and the official PCSO Facebook Page.
