PCSO Lotto Winners

Businessman claims half of Php 142.5M Grand Lotto jackpot prize

One of the two winners of the Grand Lotto 6/55 draw on January 7, 2023 flew to Manila and headed to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) at Sun Plaza Building in Mandaluyong City to claim his jackpot prize. The 40-year-old businessman is a bachelor from Cagayan De Oro and won half of the 142,580,483.20 jackpot with the winning number combination 44-13-19-33-27-39.

He claimed that he just randomly chose the winning combination, saying, “Ginuhit-guhitan ko lang po yung mga kursunada kong numbers at sa awa ng Diyos binigay nya sa akin ang blessings na ito sa loob ng halos 15 years kong pagtaya sa lotto.”

Although the winner has been a PCSO lotto player for 15 years, he stated that he does not bet frequently and only bets when the jackpot hits large amounts. The new millionaire intends to invest his earnings in his business and marry his fiancé. “Ipang-pupuhunan ko ito sa aking business at sa wakas meron na din budget para sa pagpapakasal namin ng aking fiancé,” he said happily.

The jackpot winner also expressed his desire to help those affected by the flooding in Mindanao.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles encourages the public to continue their support and patronage of all the gaming products of PCSO, including Lotto and Small Town Lottery (STL), to generate funds for the agency’s charity programs, saying, “Tuloy-tuloy lang po sa pagtangkilik sa ating Lotto at STL games dahil ang kinikita po dito ay siya nating ginagamit na pantulong sa ating mga kababayan through PCSO Charity Programs.”

The lotto jackpot prize can be claimed only at the PCSO main office located in Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City. The winner must present the winning ticket and two (2) valid government IDs in claiming his/her prize. In accordance with the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, a 20% percent tax is automatically deducted from prizes above 10,000.00.

Pursuant to Republic Act 1169, the lotto ticket has one (1) year validity from the date of the draw. Unclaimed prizes after one year will be forfeited to form part of PCSO Charity Fund to be used for indigents, individuals, and institutions in need of financial and medical assistance.

The Grand Lotto 6/55 game is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday via live telecast on PTV-4 at 9pm.
