Laguna bettor bags Php 19.6-M Lotto 6/42 jackpot
MANILA, Philippines – Lone bettor from the province of Laguna hit the jackpot in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Lotto 6/42 winning over Php 19 million on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
PCSO said the bettor guessed the winning combination of 21-11-30-16-19-03. The total jackpot prize was Php 19,630,380.00.
The ticket was bought from a lotto outlet in Rizal Avenue, San Pablo City, Laguna.
Because of taxes, as provided by the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings are subject to 20 percent tax. This means, Php 3,926,076 would be deducted from the winnings.
Also collecting dividends were 94 bettors who won P24,000 each for getting at least 5 digits correctly in the winning combination.
Meanwhile, 3,281 players guessed four of the six winning combination and they will get Php 800 each. 38,991 players won Php 20 each (balik-taya) for guessing three numbers.
Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.
The Lotto 6/42 was last won on August 1, 2024 by solo bettor who bought his/her winning ticket in Arcillas Town Center, Jose Rizal Ave., San Pablo City, Laguna.
The Lotto 6/42 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to support the agency’s gaming products. This is to raise additional revenue for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.
