Laguna bettor wins Php 9M Lotto 6/42 jackpot
MANILA, Philippines – Lone bettor from the province of Laguna hit the jackpot in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Lotto 6/42 winning Php 9 million on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
PCSO said the bettor guessed the winning combination of 06-24-25-28-02-16. The total jackpot prize was Php 9,045,796.60.
The ticket was bought from a lotto outlet in Lucky Circle Corp. in Calamba City, Laguna.
Because of taxes, as provided by the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings are subject to 20 percent tax. This means, Php 1,809,159.32 would be deducted from the winnings.
Also collecting dividends were 53 bettors who won P24,000 each for getting at least 5 digits correctly in the winning combination.
Meanwhile, 1,928 players guessed four of the six winning combination and they will get Php 800 each. 24,440 players won Php 20 each (balik-taya) for guessing three numbers.
Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.
The Lotto 6/42 was last won on August 15, 2024 by solo bettor who bought his/her winning ticket in Rizal Avenue, San Pablo City, Laguna.
The Lotto 6/42 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to support the agency’s gaming products. This is to raise additional revenue for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.
