Negros Occidental bettor wins P29.7-M Grand Lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines – Solo bettor from Visayas bagged the Php 29.7 million jackpot prize in the Grand Lotto 6/55 on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

The winning combination was 13-21-24-31-09-03 for the exact prize of Php 29,700,000.00.

PCSO on Thursday said the lucky player purchased winning ticket from a lotto outlet in Negros Occidental.

Because of taxes, as provided by the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings are subject to 20 percent tax. This means, Php 5,940,000 would be deducted from the winnings.

Also collecting dividends were 56 bettors who won Php 100,000 each for getting at least 5 digits correctly in the winning combination.

Meanwhile, 1,967 players guessed four of the six winning combination and they will get Php 1,500 each. 26,235 players won Php 60 each for guessing three numbers.

Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.

The Grand Lotto 6/55 was last won on December 28, 2024 by a lone bettor who purchased ticket in Legazpi, Albay.

The 6/55 is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to support the agency’s gaming products. This is to raise additional revenue for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.
