QC resident bags Php 22.9M Lotto 6/42 jackpot
MANILA, Philippines – A 60-year-old resident of Quezon City bagged the Lotto 6/42 jackpot of Php 22,896,342.80 with a winning combination of 34-35-24-20-36-39, purchased from a lotto outlet in Murphy, Barangay Socorro, in Quezon City.
The lucky winner shared that her chosen numbers were inspired by a dream she had twenty years ago, and ever since then, she has been faithfully playing them in the hopes of winning.
Her dedication to the game was evident as she has matched five out of six winning numbers on multiple occasions since the game’s inception in 1995.
She expressed her plans to invest some of her winnings in various businesses and generously share with her family members. However, her priority is to give back to the community by helping those in need.
The winner claimed her prize two days after the draw date of August 5, 2023.

To avoid forfeiture of winnings, winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prizes. Otherwise, it will form part of the PCSO Charity Fund under Republic Act No. 1169.
They must also write their names, sign at the back of the winning ticket, and present two government-issued IDs to facilitate the claims process.
Prizes exceeding 10,000 are subject to 20% final tax by the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law.
